HTC One X+ hitting AT&T this fall, maybe T-Mobile ... - Know Your Cell

The HTC One X is a damn sexy phone and is HTC's flagship device. I'm a little biased, of course, since the One X is my daily driver on AT&T. If you've read my review, you'll find that my complaints are few, and to date I still enjoy using the phone as my primary device. What's a real drag is knowing that a faster version with Android 4.1. Jelly Bean is coming to AT&T this fall!

Good news for T-Mobile fans, though. While the HTC One S is undoubtedly an excellent smartphone, there is word that the HTC One X+ may hit T-Mobile's shelves later this year. The differences between the two phones aren't negligible, either, since the One X has a larger screen and its resolution is much higher. Network speed capabilities will also be huge, and the One X+ is said to have a 1.7GHz processor. Oh, and Jelly Bean. That's big, too.

The One X+ model that is heading to AT&T is apparently codenamed HTC Evitaire, while the version that is allegedly on its way to T-Mobile is codenamed HTC Era 42.

It's hard to say how it will compete with the constant barrage of newer, better, faster Android devices that come out every week, but the HTC One series has earned so much praise that an upgraded version could be what the manufacturer needs to get itself back on track.

As a current HTC One X owner, would I buy the updated model? You bet, and I'd any expect any die-hard Android fan to do the same. For your average HTC One X owner, however, it might be hard to justify the costs associated with upgrading or selling/trading the current model to upgrade.
